I run the task manager in minimized mode to show roughly how much CPU I am using, but I'd like something more specific that would tell me the current draw (like in the battery tab of the Power Manager). When the power draw is high, I go to task manager and notice the browser (e.g. internet explorer) tabs are often using a lot of CPU. This is invariably caused by some flash advert. even if not displaying on the screen I am looking at.
1. Is there some sort of meter that shows the amount of current drawn?
2. Is there a way to turn off the Adobe Flash from looping and taking up power?
TIA

Send a really angry email to Adobe, specifically include any insults to their competence would help.
Otherwise, I don't think so.
Oh, then there is the chance they might actually---... Nah.

I've tried Osiris BatteryBar; it'll show the power drag when you hover over the meter.
Likewise for avoiding excess Flash, you could run Firefox with NoScript.

+1 for Firefox with NoScript. It's an extremely useful app.
