XP-Pro SP3 on X31 and Yet MORE Updates?

I installed XP-PRO SP2 from hidden partition.
I then installed SP3 from disc.
I connected to the Internet and updated peripheral drivers.
When I connected to the Internet a couple of days later, there were a HUGE amount of windows updates.
Shouldn't SP3 have included everything?

No, every update that came out after SP3 was released would be expected to be available to install. It was released in August of 2008. That's (2) years ago. There's been many, many, updates to XP since then.

Consider an application to slipstream updates into your install, so you don't have to download new ones for days after you've installed:
