wrecked enough for replacement?

#1 Post by Xcalamento » Sun Nov 07, 2010 8:30 am

I have an X200t which has been dropped a few times, the multitouch screen is scratched, there's a dead pitxel, one corner near the keyboard is dented and my xpress card is busted. I have full warranty and accidental damage protection and would like for my screen to be replaced as that is my main issue. Is this enough groud for replacement or should I just dump it in my pool and say it was an "accident"... :?
Current Thinkpad:
X200t -- Win7 64, C2D 1.87Ghz -- 4Gb Ram -- Hitachi 300Gb HDD
T61 -- Vista Ult 32 -- C2D 2.2Ghz -- Hitachi 7k200 200Gb -- 3 Gb Ram
14WXGA+ -- NVS 140 Video -- Dual Layer DVD8x/Ultrabay 100Gb Seagate Momentus
1 Gb Intel Turbo Memory

If you have accidental damage protection, send it in and have Lenovo fix everything including the kbd and xpress slot. Why would you do otherwise?

I mean, I know they will replace the dent and xpress card, but will they replace the screen?

No, because that would be committing fraud.

TPP does not cover scratches or intentional damage.

one pixel does not constitute a defect.
