Blinking red dot even when not in sleep mode

My Edge 13 seems to have a problem:
When putting it to sleep, the red dot on "i" in "ThinkPad" logo starts blinking, which is normal.
But even after waking up, it keeps blinking, while it should be just turned on.
I remember it was completely normal a few weeks ago. Any idea what could be wrong?
