I recently ordered a machine through the outlet. I received a confirmation email, but it didn't have any of the detailed system information - just a one-line entry with a 10-character outlet part number and 7-character description (i.e. 3249CTO). Turns out you can go to http://outlet.lenovo.com/PARTNUMBER.html where PARTNUMBER is the outlet part number (10 characters for my machine) and this brings up the detailed product-info page.
