Swapping wireless cards
Anyone know if the T23 & T30 use the same kind of wireless card? I wanted to try to save myself the trouble of checking the actual hardware.

Re: Swapping wireless cards
The T23 and T30 have the same size mini-pci slot, so cards are interchangeable. IIRC, there were three different types of cards offered in both the T23 and T30, so you may have to install difference drivers if you swap cards.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

Re: Swapping wireless cards
I removed the card from my T23 by unplugging the little flat connector and pulling up the 2 antenna connectors and then sliding the unit out by disconnecting the wide flat connector, but when I opened up the T30 it appears that there are 2 cards attached here. One connects via a flat connector, and the other
via a wide connector (along with the 2 antenna leads). The little flat connector "fit" into the T23's combo unit, but I was afraid to make the substitute as it seemed like a big difference. Any ideas?

Re: Swapping wireless cards
T23 uses a combo card which consists of 56K modem + wireless "b".
T30 in most cases uses separate cards for the two.
If you're not concerned about the modem functionality, just plug the card in and connect the antennae, then call it a day.
