I'm looking for an external hard drive with automatic backup. My problem is that I would like the Western Digital but don't need the 1T capacity.
Could anyone suggest one with continuous backup? I bought a WD from Target but had to return it when I realized it wasn't automatic . Or is there a way to set it to that in the OS?
Thanks for any help,
Sand

Re: External hard drive
Hi Sand
You can use the "automatic backup setup" via R&R that should be built into your TP 42p ..... if not than you can read about it via here ( Lenovo website)
http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/think/thinkvan ... overy.html
and download updates for T42P via here
(including R&R)
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... PAD-MATRIX
One you have the Lenovo Rescue and Recovery™ you dont need to buy any EXTRA apps or software to do 'automatic backups'
You can buy any USB2/1.1 External Harddrive (cheapest you can get)- as long as its SAME SIZE as your insternal HD OR BIGGER.
Hope this helps.. Good Luck
Cheers

Re: External hard drive
Some (not all) of the Seagate FreeAgent Go line of external hard drives have automated backup software included on the drive. It pays to read the fine print.
