Hard drive adapter problem

#1 Post by Dottore » Tue Nov 23, 2010 4:31 pm

Through friend on Ebay I ordered Ultrabay Slim Hard Drive.
I installed the disc and inserted in place of the DVD drive, however, detected a long time froze for a moment. Remove it and the laptop works normally.

He recognized in Device Manager but the system is slowed in My Computer do not see any other disk access: (:(

Connect the drive to Scyhte Kamaz as portable and works without problems. They can even access the data.

The disc is WD2500BEVT SATA 5400rpm

You have a T43p and a T41 in your signature. Does the adapter fail in both machines? Does it slow the T4X machine down with no drive in the adapter but the adapter plugged in?

What is on the drive? Used or new?

The disc is a new, filled mostly with movies 60Gb.

It is not clear to me, as I connect an external USB drive to work without problems. And as the ultra bay adapter to see a device does not work. Somehow the slow laptop.

So, the adapter is faulty? To tell the seller on ebay that does not work?

Well, it's of no use to you as it is, so I'd return it. Ideally I'd want to test it in another machine.

Resolved.

Basically, the man sent me another and correct.
Easy to clean properly. I have attached a WD 250Gb, WD 500Gb and 320Gb Toshiba.

I'm happy :)
