x200t Screen protector?

#1 Post by davepol » Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:08 am

Hi, Could someone recommend me a good screen protector for x200t?
The one I have right now is thick and makes screen look grainy.
Thanks much!

how about no screen protector?

not trying to be a smarty-pants here but my opinion is that something designed to be used with a stylus and/or fingers shouldn't require protection.   be smart about using your tablet and you won't scratch it.

but, to address your question, i doubt you'll find a protective layer of any kind that doesn't introduce some sort of glare, haze, or graininess.

Thanks, from what I understand there are two views concerning screen protectors. One is that tablets are designed to be used without them but according to others using tablet without screen protector is sure to result in some scratches. I have seen tablet screens which were scratched after just few months of extensive usage (even old digitizer pen tip can scratch plastic layer which covers the lcd).

having used multiple X61 and X200 tablets with both plastic and glass writing surfaces, i'm in the group of users who hasn't scratched one yet.   if it feels like you're scratching something, stop writing, clean the screen in that area, and check the panel under good lighting.   if your stylus nib gets damaged or worn, replace it.   if the display is dirty, clean it.   keeping displays clean and checking the stylus nib goes a long way. :)
