X200s WXGA+ to X201 screen swap?

Is this possible??
Was thinking about taking the screen off my X200s and putting it on a more powerful X201.

Has it been done?

yes, it is possible.

the entire upper lid assemblies need to be swapped.   the panels by themselves are not interchangeable.

you would need to remove the battery, keyboard, and palmrest, disconnect the wireless antennas at the cards and un-route them from the chassis, disconnect the LCD cable from the system planar, and unbolt the hinges at the chassis.   repeat this on the other system, trade the assemblies, and reverse the process.

the hardest part is in peeling up the tape and plastic holding down the antennas.
