Who has the slowest desktop?
I win.
6502A at 1MHz (AFAICT - if not, I'll throw in the other Apple)
NEC D780 at 1MHz (IIRC)
128K RAM
2 5.25" FDDs
Integrated Woz Video (original IIe-class video - it's not a IIe, though)
Hayes MicroModem IIe (300 baud!)
Orange Micro Grappler+ Parallel card
If that's not slow enough, here goes:
NCR 65C02A @ 1MHz
128K RAM
1 5.25" FDD (internal)
Integrated Woz Video (//e Revision B-class video with MouseText - it's a //c)
EDIT: Crap. You C64 owners... Not to mention, your CPUs ran slower if you had NTSC machines... (There's still hope. If you all have PAL machines, I still have the CPU clock disadvantage, and can't make up in processing performance on the //e clone, because a 6502 has exactly the same processing power as a 6510 @ the same clock speed (the 6510 adds some I/O that is used for bank switching - I don't know if the C64's bank switching technique is faster than Apples - if so, I win). A 65C02, on the other hand, has added instructions (and debugged instructions)...

Sears used to sell Laser brand computers, made by Vtech.
I bought new a Compact XT, case like a Apple IIc, 512kb of memory, 8088 cpu at a TURBO speed of 10 mhz, CGA/Hercules video (remember those?), 360kb floppy on the right side, printer, 2nd floppy, serial, video, joystick, power in and out.
BTW, now it has 640kb, 1 mb of expanded memory and a 720 floppy drive instead.
Fergot, matching Laser CGA moniter!

Hey, I actually had a Laser 128EX - same case as your XT clone, but with an Apple II-compatible motherboard instead of a PC-compatible motherboard.
I recall that the reliability was HORRIBLE on it, but the feature set and price was impossible to beat.

Yup, had to wad up tiny bits of paper to shim the keys up so that the keyboard would work. Bought a 2nd one from Sears but the power supply was bad, took that as a sign and returned it right away.
First one the video died in the first few weeks, got that fixed under warrenty.

Re: Sparc anyone?
"SUN Sparcstation 2 40 mhz"
That doesn't count, it's not a PC or even a desktop!
