Ibm thinkpad ac adapter weird noise?

hi
this is not new problem
it was 2 years ago and more
ok my laptop ac adapter is making a i dont know sizzling or something like electicity is passing it
when playing about 4-5 hours the ac adapter is not very hot but it is warm
so is it normal
laptop is ibm thinkpad r31 and was boutgh 2003 but i got it 2005 from original owner(bought it)
and it was making that noise ever since

it is only heard when you put ear on my ac adapter

I've had a few like that and never really caused an issue.. something to do with the AC current alternating through the electronics I believe. If you can only hear it up to your ear I imagine it's not hazardous.

I have a 16V 4.5A charger that does the same. If the ThinkPad is connected to it, the adapter is silent, but if it is plugged in to AC, but not connected to my ThinkPad it also whines/sizzles.

Nothing to worry about i guess, just a coil whine or something.

A bit off topic but I have one that interferes with my TV.
Is that a bad sign?

well it makes sound when plugged to laptop but little silently but it is still little bit heard,but only when putting ear on it

adapter dont have any cracks or anything

so i quess i dont have to worry about it.

I replaced the one that interfered with TV with a genuine IBM FRU that was listed as NEW.
It didn't include the AC cable. I ordered one of those from China.
There's no more TV interference.
