Reflections on a new T410s multi-touch...

#1 Post by draco2527 » Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:10 pm

UPS dropped the machine at my door about 1.5 hour ago, played with it for about 20 minutes (tons of updates to download!)

All I can say, with all the negative reviews out there....I figured I would get a brick, wrapped in black plastic...to the contrary...THIS THING ROCKS...NO...IT KICKS ***!

I will try to get some comparison pictures up in the coming days between the X200T, X60S, T61 (WXGA and WXGA+) screens and the T410s, there are some "flaws" but overall I think they do not amount to much. I will also try to include a detailed and objective review on the beast...

For now I am one happy camper!

Here is a basic description on the T410s:

Product: ThinkPad T410s 2912-22U [change]
Operating system: All [change]

Original description: i5-520M(2.4GHz), 2GB RAM, 128GB Solid State Drive, 14.1in 1440x900, Intel HD Graphics, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn, WWAN upgradeable, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint rdr, Camera, 6c, Win7 Pro 32

Update: Hard Drive Bay Adapter III (factory direct) and 4GB RAM arrived today. I should be updating with pics later this week (Sunday) or early next week.
