How To Replace Touchpad and Button Assembly on a T41

#1 Post by ParatoOptimal » Tue Dec 07, 2010 2:42 am

How difficult is it to replace a touchpad and button assembly on a T41 for someone who has never done it before?
Are any special tools required?
I found the buttons with frame only and the TP, frame with buttons for only a dollar more.
Thanks

8) As difficult as getting a proper screwdriver. Be careful to preserve the screws after removing. They tend to run away immediately after detachment.

This diagram should help: http://nickpaton.fireflyinternet.co.uk/ ... uchpad.pdf

It's held in with the 4 screws as shown.
