Will a T60 SXGA Flewview screen fit a G41 SXGA?

Hello everyone
I have a 3.46 gHZ G41 with SXGA screen (and the external nVidia graphics card mmmm) and was wondering whether it is possible to upgrade it to a Flexview screen of the same resolution i.e. 1400x1050. Would the screen from a T60 (FRU: 42T0325) would fit the bill? The FRU number does not appear in the G40/41 maintenance manual but was wondering if IBM might have been daft enough to give a component different FRU numbers depending on which (family of) model it was destined for.

I don't think there's a chance a T60 LCD would fit. If it will help in your search, here's the parts list for a G41 LCD -

It looks like the SXGA FRU# is 93P5581. Are you sure it SXGA and not SXGA+ ?. The G41 came with both. SXGA would be much harder to find.

Listed as SXGA, 1400 x 1050 pixels. Hmmm - a bit of ambiguity there I feel. I will get back to the seller for clarification. I did not realise that that SXGA is 1280 x 1024 pixels and SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 - silly me! Thank you for pointing out that particular knowledge deficiency to me.

It actually might work...I remember virge upgrading a G40 with an IPS panel from an A31.

I don't recall any G series with a SXGA, only with SXGA+, but I might be wrong.

If it were mine, I'd give it a shot.
