R50e startup problem

#1 Post by cardic » Thu Dec 16, 2010 1:12 am

Hello,

i have a problem with my R50e.

when I push the power on button, the power- and harddrive indicator stay on all the time, and it wont boot.

But: When I press the keyboard on the left side and push the power on button, it boots...?

Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh30-PWmBvk (After 3 times it boots, varies)

Anybody have a solution?

Remove keyboard, palmrest and CPU cooler.
Reseat the CPU (use a screwdriver to un/lock the socket), replace thermal paste while it's open.
Put it all back again, what happens?
