Rescue & Recovery as lost previous backups?

I’ve scanned your site for an answer to my problem, but came up empty.
I have had a T61p for a couple years now and I've been using R&R to do my weekly backups (give or take). Something has happened lately, R&R no longer starts automatically at the scheduled time, but more concerning, the backups I have on my USB drive are no longer listed? I've double checked my R&R setup, I have it scheduled write to my USB drive Weds at 9:30pm and I can also see my backups list is empty? I removed and reconnected my USB a couple of times, that didn't help. I used windows explorer to scan the USB drive, I can see the backups under RRBackups/C & /D, but for some reason R&R doesn't see them? R&R did a successful backup on Nov 18.
I'm thinking a recent update has messed up my R&R, (I’ve had similar problems in the past!) coincidently my system did a windows update yesterday morning, so I checked for Lenovo updates and my system appears to be up-to-date. Any suggestions?

T61p, XP Pro Version 2002, SP3, T9500@2.6Ghz, 3Gb of Ram

I noticed a slightly newer version of R&R on the Lenovo support page, so I upgraded from 4.21.0016.00 to 4.23.0016.00. For what ever reason, the upgrade nudge my backup listing and my USB backups are visiable again. Case closed for me!
