driver issue: All my USB ports are 1.0 (x200)
It's taken me two years now to realize this, but apparently all three of my USB ports on my X200 are running at 1.0 speeds...
The "This device can perform faster..." dialog box pops up when I insert a flash drive or hard drive. I never gave it much attention I guess.
Does anyone know the driver that will take care of this? I went through a few lists on Lenovo's website and could not find one specifically for USB support. I thought I'd ask here before I went through and started installing all of the ones it could be.
Help is appreciated!

Interesting, I never had this problem with my X200. Are you running the factory install. I'd start with the chipset driver. Windows Update might be another option.

Uninstall all usb drivers from Device Manager and restart

I removed every one of the usb devices shown there and restarted. No good. Two of them show USB2? It did before as well... I'm confused as to what that means.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 (not the factory install)
Also, does anyone have an idea why my screen brightness resets to max on reboots?
If it's not an obvious answer I may have to make another thread with the question in the title... thought I'd ask though.

As FredGarvin said, try the Intel Chipset drivers...

i'd like to share a similar experience, with a little difference. i have an x31, x200 and a dell desktop in the office. i do my work on all of them. the x31 and desktop runs windows xp sp3 and the x200 runs windows 7 64. a few weeks back, when the usb problem came out, my x200 was still running windows 7 32-bit.
i have 8 flash drives of varying capacities but i use a lot the kingston data traveller 120, moving data from one to another. at one time when i plugged the kingston in the dell desktop - the message you are talking about, came out. i ejected the flash drive and used another usb flash drive that i have and experienced none of those previous message. i also restarted the desktop and used a different flash drive ... no message. then, when i used the kingston data traveller 120, i would get the same message again.
so when i got back home, i tried the flash drive with my x31 and x200. the results are the same using the kingston data traveller and other flash drives i have. only the kingston flash drive would exhibit the message. so, i decided to format the kingston flash drive and the message did not appear anymore.
i also noticed that after a long time use of plugging and ejecting the flash drive, copying, erasing, etc. eventually will give me the message. in fact, i have already formatted the flash drive twice - since i have been using the flash drive to transfer data from one laptop to another or to the desktop.
maybe you can trying formatting and see how it goes?
