Memory Type for X30

#1 Post by jronald » Sun Dec 19, 2010 8:15 am

Will a stick of 39P7288 work on a X30? Appears to be from a R30. I found some for $20.00 shipped. Good Price?

Thanks
Ron

I don't see any reason why it would not work. I've never had an issue with an IBM FRU RAM module working in any Thinkpad as long as the specifications are compatible.

I don't have any first hand experience with that particular FRU, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. 512MB PC-133 Kingston. X30, T23, A30P etc. all use that RAM. R30 also shipped with PC-133 RAM installed but it runs at PC-100 speed in that application (not so in X30). As for the price, that looks to be on the lower end of the going rate now, so I would say it's a fair price.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E
