What's required to get a 13N076 Boe Hydis working in Franken
It been a project to aquire all my parts. Today I received a Genuine IBM 13N076 IPS panel (working takeout). I just pulled out the original screen out of the donor T61 (8897-CTO) and quickly made the connections to the LCD, and new frankenpad.
The machine started up and ran. All I got was a blank screen. I then installed the laptop on my docking station. Once the laptop booted up on Windows 7 the image was displayed on my aux monitor.
Using the Intel video display program I could change the monitor resolution.
I guess that I need to reflash the EID? What is involved.
Thanks in advance.

Installed in T60 15" 2007 5TU chassis
4 gig Kingston memory.

Just to clarify you put the board(42W7872) into the T60(2007-5TU) and then added the screen(13n7076)? Hmmm... I'm pretty sure that's been done around these parts before, though I myself have only done a R60 and X200 LCD mods. I guess I'd try maybe putting the old board back with the new screen and seeing if that works. A 2007-5TU is already a IPS machine, you shouldn't need to swap out any other parts or mess with the EDID since the 13N7076 is a T60 LCD, though I'm certainly no expert on the T61 Frankenpad. Perhaps someone more learned than I will come along.
