On my R51 i replaced the hard disc with a new, larger, faster one, and loaded it with my R&R disc's so that the TP was like new. Can i now put the old drive back in and run it with out any problem, will the machine recognize it and then still recognize the new disc when i put that back in?
I did read in the help and support on how to swap the drives that its ok to up grade but that swapping drives could damage the system.
It's not my intention to go back and forth with them i have a USB enclosure for the old drive, i just want to go thru the old one to see if there's stuff that i want to put on the new drive as i had poor luck with the files and settings transfer wizard.
I know another option is to boot the OS on the old drive in the enclosure, but i did not have any luck with that either, I think it told me it couldn't find files needed to do this action. And i also heard that multibooting could screw up the bios or R&R partition or something like that?
Any suggestions or links to step by step instructions would be appreciated.

Re: Swaping HDD
There is no problem with swapping the old drive back into the machine and booting it up.
