256 colors

here is another little something i want to figure out .my 760el only has a 256 color setting,but my other 760e has 256 and 16bit and true color settings ,how come?

Does your 760EL have the 12.1" TFT LCD or the 11" DSTN screen? The 11" DSTN models only display 256 colors, the 12.1" TFT displays 16bit color and on the 760ED, XD and the XGA model 760E's, can do 24bit color.
