Formatting an SSD

#1 Post by emeraldgirl08 » Sun Jan 02, 2011 7:43 am

I have an SSD in the marketplace for sale. I'd like to prep it for sale and am not 100% sure how to format the drive. With the platter drives I've prepped I'd use Killdisk or DBAN but have read threads that mention that just writing zeros is not enough :?

Any suggestions? TIA.

Writing 0's is fine. I don't think you should treat erasing an SSD any differently than a conventional HDD.
