I'm trying to decide between two W500's (both T9400). Both are the same price and have similar options (GPU, Bluetooth, etc). The differences are noted below:
1. WUXGA screen, win7 Pro, 4Gb ram, 500Gb 7200 rpm Hitachi, Integrated camera (not a selling point to me), Model 4062-4FU, manuf 5/2009. mint, if used at all.
2 WSXGA+ screen, XP Pro, 3Gb ram, 500 Gb 7200RPM Seagate. Model 4061-2ZU, new in box, manuf 4/2010
Since I have a T60 with the UXGA screen (that I love) I was going to choose the W500 with the WUXGA screen. That is, until I read here how the WUXGA screen is considered too dim?
Anyone know how the WUXGA brightness compares to the UXGA?
any opinions greatly appreciated.

Re: W500 display... trying to decide
The WUXGA is rated at 175 nits, while the UXGA is 200 nits. It's about 12% dimmer, but your T60 is probably four years old now and may have dimmed some. New, the WUXGA may be brighter than an older UXGA. I think the LG WSXGA+ is regarded as the the best screen offered on the R/T/W500, though there is a Samsung LCD too. You'd need the serial number and machine type to figure what you're getting.

Yep, my T60 is getting along in years but I just replaced my Flexview UXGA LCD about 3 days ago. So it's really (Really) bright right now
