T60, very nice but out of my price range doh!
Re: most reliable
With a little patients you will likely find a T60 in your range. Today T60 models are selling in the range that the T40 was in two or three years ago.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

Re: most reliable
Do the T60`s suffer the same mobo faults as T4 range?
Re: most reliable
They don't seem to be, but it may just be to early to tell for certain. There are reports of problems with T60, but, then, there has never been an mechanical or electrical component that was 100% fail proof.

That was something that we were supposed to guess? What is your price range? Since T40 was the model immediately preceding T60, your statement implies that you can't afford to upgrade...Doh.mrbojangles wrote:T60, very nice but out of my price range doh!

My price would be about £140 to replace with a second user but looks like im gonna try reflow repairs £70 see if i can keep the old T4 going a few more years

Re: most reliable
If you like the T60, the R60 might be worth a look as well. It's near the same machine as the T60, but tends to be cheaper than the T60 at least here in the US. It's slightly thicker and heavier, and lacks the tougher lid, but they share many parts and I would say they're well built. I've had two of them and they've been excellent, though plain old dumb luck always plays a role.
