Hy!
I use system update program to update ThinkPad and there was BIOS update also, but there was a note: ThinkPad 7UET BIOS Update for Windows 64bit US. This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. Is that something to do with keyboard, because mine are Swedish keyboard? Same update is here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-70350?
BIOS update question?
Re: BIOS update question?
I have no idea what that comment means. It can't apply to the OS because that is not involved in flashing the BIOS. Since it says language 'independent', that means any language can flash the BIOS. So the fact that you have a Swedish keyboard is irrelevant. Also, prior to flashing, see my comments in this thread - http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=93106
Re: BIOS update question?
Anyway, I installed the bios update through the system update. I do not know why the system update offer US version, but i think because the language in the BIOS.
