New 2.5 IDE/ATA Sandforce SSD option for x31?

#1 Post by Huxley08 » Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi all

Just reading http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/ ... Legacy_Pro

For All Laptops that use a 2.5 IDE/ATA Drive has a 3 year warranty.

Is 2.5 ie 100.12mm x 70.06mm x 9.45mm Thinkpad x31 ready?

Thanks very much.

Giday Huxley...
Seems very instresting option..... not sure Which SSD they use 'internally'...
however I have tried a 64GB= "SSD with IDE connector" for a T43 TP and it worked nicely ... from here
http://www.memorydepot.com/ssd_disk.asp ... 5&name=2.5 inch IDE - PATA - Solid State Flash Disk

Be keen to see your results when/if you get those SSD's
Thanks in advance.....
Cheers
Mike

Yes should just drop in. Ouch the price though ($200 for 60 gig)

I would stick to larger brands such as Transcend, Sandisk, Samsung, etc.

T60 2623-DCU/SXGA+ IPS/ATI X1400
T43p 2668-H8U/UXGA IPS/ATI V3200
R50p 1832-NU1/UXGA IPS/ATI FireGL T2
X61t 7762-B6U dual touch IPS/64GB SSD
X32 2673-BU6/32GB SSD
