765D Red Hat 9.0 - PCMCIA issue

#1 Post by chispe » Fri Mar 18, 2005 6:13 pm

I have (eventually) successfully installed RH9 on my 765D.
The difficulty I have is that on careful review of the boot-up sequence, I find that the kernel (if that is the right expression) is having difficulty allocating IRQs to the PCMCIA service. It errors wth a message similar to 'IRQ not available for device 00:02:00'.
The system suggests I try pci=biosirq but this makes no difference.
When Linux is running, the system configuration can see the PCMCIA system, but although it thinks it can start it, it doesn't.
Any tips? Cna't get a network connection with the PCMCIA system working.....
Thanks
