Best place to buy notebook keyboard

#1 Post by jonnnny » Fri Mar 18, 2005 7:11 pm

Hey I'm from Canada and recently bought a t41p for a good price but it is in French :? so I'm looking to replace the French keyboard with an English keyboard.

Two Questions
1) Where would be the best place to buy a keyboard? Direct from IBM or through retailers? If retailer, then any recommendations?

2) I notice there are 2 different manufacturers of IBM keyboards: NNB and Chicony, whats the difference? Which one is better?

Thanks guys.
Jon

x41t : 1.5 : 1.5 : 40 : 12.1
t61p : 2.5 : 2.98 : 200 : 15.4

Anyone that sells IBM service parts can get you a new keyboard. Not sure what the excahgne rate is these days but we pay ~$70 US for a new keyboard.

I have no idea who is better nor do I know how to order one or the other.
