Mute key only working after Vol Up or Down

When I press Fn+Esc (mute key) then the x100e does not mute. It mutes after I pressing the Mute and Volume Up or Volume Down additionally.

Does anybody have a solution for this?
It worked fine, till I installed a new version of Synaptics Mouse driver, but I didn't like it, I installed the older official Lenovo again.

Reinstalling the Hotkey program and driver didn't help.

If uninstalling the hotkey program and audio driver and then reinstalling them doesn't fix the problem try System Restore to a date before the synaptics update was installed. btw what OS are you using?
