T43 Model 1871 FU1 1 Beep at post. System completes bootup. Everything works ok after boot process. Any help?

Have you replaced the original hard drive?

In that case it probably tells you that you have "Error 2010" (for non-IBM approved hard drive), but continues to boot after 1 beep and a few seconds.
Nothing to worry about.
But now you can update your BIOS and get rid of that beep AND the Error 2010.
