Loud fan when docked to x200 ultrabase (x201tablet)
Hey all,
I just got my ultrabase today and I'm quite surprised how the fan is always on and shooting out hot air when connected to this thing. I did use CPUID HW monitor and the temperature never drops below 50 degrees celsius when connected... I am connected to an external monitor through the dock and ran a few high quality videos and the temperature rose to max of 78c ... with simple web browsing it's like 55c funny thing is I've never noticed the fan or the heat when it was just connected via ac adapter ... in fact most of the time it'd be nearly completely silent even when running video through my external monitor and inking on my tablet...
One of the things I loved about this computer was how darn quiet it was... often times it didn't even sound like it was on.
It seems like the ventilation on the ultrabase is absolutely horrible.... the laptop rests on nearly a completely flat and solid surface... and I'm actually quite disappointed with this thing. Is this normal? Could a defective ultrabase be causing this?

Do you experience the same problem when laptop is connected to AC without using the dock?
Lifebook P1032 (1024*600 8.9") => Averatec AV1000 (WXGA 10.6") => Kohjinsha SH6 (1024*600 7.2") => Sharp M4000 (WXGA 13.3") => X200-AFFS, dead => X200s-AFFS, later -PVA => X220 4290RV5 + Intel 310 80GB, T420s 4173KSU + FHD IPS + Sandisk Z400s 128GB

i heard that the ultrabase tells your bios to run the fan on medium or high setting to make up for the decreased ventilation... anyone else have this issue?
