X24 HDD question...
X24 HDD question...
Hello,
I just found your forum, I have to say its a very nice work here!
I may buy a X24 from a guy, he told me there is no HDD inside (no caddy etc). So far so good, I see there are some HDD caddy for X24 on internet.
But I don't know (and the guy too) if I need a 'special' adapter on the (2.5) HDD to connect it internaly.
As I see these caddys (even on eBay) are plain (ie no connector or adapter) so I assume the internal HDD for the X24 just connects into the X24 via its 'native' 44pin interface without any other adaptor?
Thank you in advance!
Chris

Re: X24 HDD question...
All you'll need are the caddy and the tray. The hard drive plugs directly into the computer.

Check out the X31 or X32 instead, same size, but they have better CPU, USB2.0, cheaper RAM up to 2GB.
You pick them up for under $100.-

I finally got that X24, is in perfect condition as new! that guy did not use it too much!
Thx for the tip anyway, I was aware about the X31/32 but as I found that X24 (in such condition) I could not resist....

Re: X24 HDD question...
xChris, Here is a comparison table in this thread, May 31st post:

As RBS stated, real short coming is the small RAM size. As for your X24, the original caddy from LG in X2x were much thinner than standard caddies in other models. If a std caddy fit too tightly, just leave the caddy screws on the HDD and insert it without the caddy.
