I'm thinking of using some sort of paper or perhaps rubbery shelf liner to cover the lid of my T41.
Any suggestions?
Would a dab of rubber cement here and there suffice?
Would something other than rubber cement be better?
I want the covering to stay uniformly down but I'm not planning on covering the entire lid with adhesive.
Would rubber cement damage IBM's coating? Would rubber cement be easily removable in the future?
I was thinking of going with that black. rubbery/spongy shelf liner material from any home improvement store.
Not the one with a patchwork of holes. They make a solid sheet of material. It sort of looks like leather. I don't know if I'd have to etch the edges with a razor to bend it over the edges of my T41. I could just put a piece over the top and not do the edges. Perhaps there's a tough shelf liner paper I could use.
I'm open to suggestions.

Check out ebay for a skin...no glue required. You might be surpised. Don't cut it with scissors...use a paper cutter. Skip the glue as it will probably be very difficult to remove.
