t42 screen flexing?

#1 Post by tensai_jin » Sat Mar 19, 2005 12:28 am

Hi everyone...just got a t42...nice machine! But i noticed this gap between the 2 metal hinges...i.e just above the battery, it's not exactly flushed and i can peep in and see the insides...

just wondering whether it's supposed to be like that...tried pressing the top part down and it actually moves! scary...

So is it something of concern or just a paranoid new thinkpad owner here?

My brand-new T42 (a couple days old) looks the same. I don't think it's cause for concern.
