X41T battery problem need help.

I'm bidding on a ibm x41t tablet on ebay and the seller has windows 7 installed.

this what it says and I wanted to know if it was really a software problem rather then hardware.

The laptop works good, but have to disclose something that started happening recently: the battery indicator on the taskbar says to "consider replacing the battery", even though it still holds about a 2 hr charge. I did some research and apparently it's a glitch on the software and not hardware related. It doesn't affect the performance of the battery, so I didn't really tried any of the recommended fixes. Like I said, the battery still charges and holds the charge, but that annoying "X" on the icon shows up quite often.

You can get lid-stickers to cover up that spot completely, or do some DIY.

I changed my mind and bought a different one thats comes with the docking station with cd/dvd drive and recovery cd's and in really good condition.
