Hi,
I am having trouble with my x60 and it doesn't make any sense.
I tried everything with power adapters, 1 was the original and 2nd was a universal power adapter.
When I boot up my laptop without a battery in there, it boots up with lights and looks like it is going to POST but, I get a 0190 Critical Low Battery error even though no batter is in there?
When I boot up with a battery in there, it goes through POST and loads up windows but, doesn't seem to be charging the battery (the charge batter indicator does not come on even when the battery is in and the laptop is plugged in).
At first I thought it was the power supply so I went to BestBuy to get a universal laptop charger and the same thing happened.
Then I thought it might be the power connector on the laptop itself but, since I do get some power and the lights do come on, i don't think that is the problem either.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

It sounds like a bad systemboard.

appreciate the quick response.
If this laptop has have a bad systemboard, does the rest of the laptop have value or its it time to put in the garbage can?
I don't want to go through the headache of repairing the thing, I just want to recoup anything I can to minimize my losses.
thanks

Yes, you could sell the entire machine on the Marketplace forum here or on EBay. You can get a complete working X60 these days for $250 or so on EBay, so a broken one might not be worth much...maybe $50 to $75 depending on condition.
