Change blue trackpoint button behaviour

#1 Post by fefrie » Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:05 pm

Hello.

I reinstalled XP on my t42 and as part of the process, I would like the behaviour of the middle blue thinkpad button to be able to 'scroll' as I need it.

Presently when I press it on a web page, it turns into a vertical scroll bar.

I would prefer it to be the dot with the N, S, E, W arrows.

This generally works better for me.

I know it can be done, but I've forgotten how.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

The arrows will come up if you set it as "smooth" scrolling in the mouse settings (ultranav tab, trackpoint scrolling settings). This makes it work like middle click, so if you click on a link with it, it will open the link in a new tab.
