CPU-ID reports speed beyond expected max

#1 Post by wackyD » Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:22 pm

Hey all,

My most recent TP purchase is a 14.1" Wide T61 (Thanks Bob!).

Loaded Xp Pro and am geting it up to snuff.

Installed CPU-ID and while working on other things, noticed that occasionally, my 2.0 GHz chip is listing a speed of 2.2GHz.

Is this possible/normal/acceptable?

Just wondering - I am onbaord with more speed, but a bit confused.

Thanks!
