T6x Bluetooth not detected

I have installed Bluetooth adapters in two T6xs which seem to have the proper LCD Cable since they plug in, but neither computer detects the adapter. Windows XP doesn't even see the adapters to install them. Do i have to initialize them somehow to get an OS to pick them up? One is a Widescreen T60, the other is a 14" Wide T61 Type:7659-W8V.

Check the BIOS-settings in security - I/O port-access. In many cases BT is deactivated.
