T43p motherboard with 1024x768 screen??

I'm looking to replace the motherboard in my T43 (2668-F3G) with a T43p board.

From what I understand, the only difference between my board and the T43p board is the FireGL chip on it. They both seem to have the same layout too, so it should fit perfectly.

However, i'm concerned about the screen - The T43p screens are all SXGA+ - so I was wondering if it mattered that my system's screen is XGA. Would the screen still work as it should if it was working with a T43p board??
