Who is the guest in the new TP UK TV advert ?

#1 Post by g8ina » Sun Mar 20, 2005 11:54 am

New advert showing the fingerprint scanner, and the colleague makes a funny nunununuh noise, then a "guest star" corrects him.

Who is the star, and what are they referring to ??

An old UK or USA TV series maybe ??

I'm pretty sure the 'star' makes reference to Star Wars, but the 'star' himself is surely the 6 million dollar man - Lee Majors... (We've got the same add here in France)

Try this...

Talking about the IBM TV commercials in general: does anybody know a website where they can be downloaded?

It's Lee Majors, the former star (Colonel Steve Austin) of the old US TV series "The Six Million Dollar Man" ca. 1974 or thereabouts.

I believe it was shown in the UK, I'm almost positive I watched it there on occasion.

Yep, that's it..... and the noise was the indication that his "Bionics" were doing something. As in, when he ran or used his telescopic sight !

Thanks, that's one headache gone away...

Oh [censored] looks like I've been writing in invisible ink again - but thankfully JHEM was there to give us the answer (nearly an hour later) - three cheers for being American
