600x running real slow at start up and then picks up??

600x running real slow at start up and then picks up??

Hi

I have a 600x 650m and l just re ran my operating system and down loaded all of the microsoft updates plus AOL 9.0.

Any ideas?

Are you saying the CPU is running much slower than 650MHz at first, then speeds up as you work with it? If so, that would be the SpeedStep applet doing it's job.

Well you mentioned AOL, so I'd bet you have anyways... ;)

Snarky comments aside, are you referring to perceived performance or the reported CPU frequency?
