760 - cannot lift keyboard

#1 Post by ThinkDan » Tue Feb 08, 2011 7:26 pm

I picked up a battered 760 for parts, but cannot open the keyboard. Right side pops up when the latch is pulled back, but the left side won't budge. It's a long time since I've handled one of these machines and it seems like the left-hand latch is not coming all the way back. Is there any (anti-tamper) locking mechanism, or have I simply got a broken or jammed latch on that side?

Thanks RBS.

Oh dear, how embarrasing - I'd forgotten that you push the latches to release the keyboard on the 760, not pull past the screen release like you do on the 750 & 755.
