I'm confused, why would one want to trade a 2GB stick for a 1GB one of otherwise identical RAM?

I figured since many forum members trade on ThinkPads, some may need different sizes
of memory for a specific machine they want to configure.

One of my T61s has 1.5GB and I want to upgrade it to 3GB, so I don't have a need for
this 1GB stick. :)
