Boothtooth Card on a Z61t without factory option?

#1 Post by HarryWild » Tue Feb 15, 2011 1:33 am

I was cruising the Z61t listings on Ebay and came across a Bluetooth Card BT2A! My Z61t did not come with a Bluetooth options so their is no light next to the Wifi light display dash.

How hard is it to install the Bluetooth Card BT2A? and can it be done?

Also, is there now a more advance Bluetooth Card then BT2A? If so, and it can be installed; can you tell me this is the latest that is compatible for my Z61t?

Thanks.

If you're talking one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-Lenovo-ThinkPad ... 0580483503 they are compatible with your model.
You may need to replace the LCD cable and/or the clearplate (black strip across LCD-bottom).
You need to remove the keyboard and KB bezel to check for the P/N of the LCD cable and compare with the HMM P/N.
