I just got a 80 GB 5k80 drive to use as a second HDD in my T-40. I formatted it ok and now have tried twice to move some files from a USB connected drive to the 5k80 and during the data transfer windows comes up with can't find file problem and I then see that the slim bay drive does not show in either file manager or computer management -disk manager.
I hope this doesn't mean I have a bad drive. It is a bit noisier than I expected. Does a slim based drive have the same performance of the normal drive- drives being equal?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Steve
