Thinkpad X220T Pics
Didn't see any threads about the tablet version of the X220.

Although the product isn't finalized, I'm a bit dissapointed in that it isn't thinner than the current gen X201/200 as I like a very portable tablet.

Gotta love the thick bezels especially at the bottom. Is the display 16:10 or 16:9? It appears to be 16:9.
Re: Thinkpad X220T Pics
I love that they have changed the locking mechanism, but thats the only good thing
Where is the modem? Microphone in? Or for that matter the power socket? I hope that the pictures are some old prototype and not the actual product. If they have moved the power socket to the back then that would mean that the extended battery option would have to have an awkward design or be very thick. Neither do i like that they have removed some of the bezel buttons.
I hope that there is a digitizer only version, as i find multi-touch to be a pain in the neck and not at all useful especially because the operating system integration is very bad.

the audio jack is now a combined headset/mic jack as found on cell phones and most of the new thinkpads.
power is on the back.
there will be multitouch and pen-only versions.smh wrote:I hope that there is a digitizer only version,

Re: Thinkpad X220T Pics
Personally, I much preferred the x200T and x201T looks. I've never been a fan of trackpads but I especially dislike this whole new "rounded curved" look that seems to be coming on most of the new thinkpad models.

<sarcasm>I'm sure this is a move pushed by totalitarian governments. They want to get rid of every mechanism we possibly have to circumvent their Internet blockade.</sarcasm>erik wrote:the modem is gone on most upcoming systems.
Cheers.
