Will Sandy Bridge Quad-Core have higher WEI than a dual-core

#1 Post by corisin » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:48 pm

When looking at Sandy Bridge mobile processors, say the 2720QM vs. the 2620M, will the Quad-core result in improved graphics performance for a Windows 7 Experience Index score? Both the 2720 (a quad-core) and 2620 (a dual-core) have the same Graphics clock speeds (HD 3000). But since the processor shares memory etc with the graphics I'm wondering how the number of processor cores will impact graphics performance, if at all.
