It is difficult to say when comparing the two, so no sigificant difference ... and both as cheap as chips.

Go for the cheapest because it's only a protective cover. You could use any old bag to cover and protect. :)

As a thief I'd think within a notebook case would be a notebook. Therefore I hide most valuable objects in bags looking the opposite of having something worthy inside. A brand new high end notebook in a walmart bag? Would never be stolen :)

I'm looking for something for my X60s.
I got one of the Basic Cases scratch and dent. It's cavernous for my X60s. I don't like the way they have velcro inside the bag to snug up the sides around the laptop. The velcro is stiff and I'm afraid it will scratch my X60s.

I have a swiss something or other that seems the same size but it seems snugger inside and is better in everyway.
I have a 15" lenovo bag that goes on sale every month for $11.50. It's velcro is not stiff. It's soft velcro at the end of soft vinyl.

I only paid 11+ or 12+ for the basic case. I'd like to return it but don't know if they'd take it back nor what it would cost to ship it back to them.

Regarding sleeves, it's difficult to find sleeves for a 4:3 laptop. they're always 2+" or 3+" too wide or long.

I don't want to spend a lot on a toploader or sleeve. I just want it to fit. 2 or 3 extra pockets in a toploader and 1 extra pocket in a sleeve is better than less pockets.
